Nearly All Airports to Get Wi-Fi - Survey

Over 90 percent of the airports surveyed recently plan to offer public access to a Wi-Fi network within the next two years. The survey -- the 2nd Airport IT Trends Survey - 2005, commissioned by SITA, Airports Council International, and Airline Business magazine -- also found that some 33 percent plan to roll out some kind of biometric identification system for passengers within the next four years (only 3 percent now have biometric check-in).
